I was the bottleneck.
For years, I was the guy doing everything by hand. Late nights, Sunday nights, 2 a.m. finishing work that should have taken an hour.
I've built three companies: a technology store that's been voted the best in town eight years running, a cybersecurity company that protects businesses from cyber criminals, and Cyber Dogs AI, which optimizes and automates businesses. Every one of them grew the same way. More customers meant more work, and more work meant more people.
Then I started using AI. Emails. Social posts. It felt productive, but it didn't move the needle. The real problem was me. I was the bottleneck in my own business.
So I automated the most expensive thing I did. Then the next one.
Then I went further than most owners ever do. I integrated AI into every part of the business: sales, marketing, operations, customer service, and the back office.
All of my businesses grew exponentially, and they grew by empowering our team, not by adding headcount. With that setup in place, I broke my collarbone and spent half the night in the hospital, and the work kept going just the same.
Now I help other owners do the same, starting with the one change that pays the most or saves the most, and then the next one.
Why "Cyber Dogs"? It's named after Bella, my yellow Lab and the original Cyber Dog. She's been there for all of it.
